The magical word of Plopsaland.

It may be just me, but come on - a theme park called Plopsaland?!

I've been told that I find that name unhealthily entertaining.

All about Matt

When he's not kicking his heels up with the hilarity gang, Matt passes his time living in London and occasionally teaching maths to future generations. Be scared. Be very scared.

Japan has highway roadsigns in 100m increments too. I reckon it's something to do with timetabling accuracy and knowing exACTly where you are and should be at any given point in time. Very German/ left brain. Are you in fact in Germany? Well, maybe very Flemish then?

Simon says:

The roadsigns also have sth to do with the police being able to calculate your speed. If you're driving 120 km/h, you should get from sign A to sign B in x sec . If the police notes that you pass the distance in e.g. half that time, they know you're driving too fast. Tricky, eh?

We have the 100 m signs in Canada too. However, I think that we use them to pass the time when there's no moose to look at.

Sanna says:

well, ploplsaland or whatever isn't much worse than a city called MIRRABOOKA
